Happy Birthday #4 P-Rae!

Dear Sisters,

As of 11:00 pm last night, Paisley Rae is four years old! It's so hard to believe that before you got here your dad and I were "busy", with what I have no idea!?! I don't remember what we filled our time with because now it's full of cartoons, reading stories, playing games, and dressing up. I love to ask you how your day at school was and hear how "dramatic" it was because you had to move a feather! (That's the red light, green light system for those wondering!) You've made so many friends and I can only hope you have the same experiences growing up of love and acceptance from those around you. It was honestly overwhelming at all the kids that showed up at our house for your birthday! I really wasn't expecting that many to come! Even your cute little "boyfriend" Jace came! It was the best little party a four year old could have! Even Swayze Kate had the best time running and playing with all the "big kids". It was nice to see since I know the time is coming when y'all won't want to include her anymore. She always wants to do any and every thing you do, Paisley and that will probably never change. Please always keep that in mind! ;)

Paisley, I hope that your fourth year is better than all of your first three combined, and I hope that in the next year your dad and I can say or do things that make you a better person and prettier lady one day, inside and out. You and your sister are the best things this world has ever gotten, and I only hope you return the favor! ;)

Two Years Too Long

Dear Sisters,

Well, I was on a roll. I was consistently updating, keeping up with every milestone and memory, taking monthly pictures, and making this digital scrapbook thing a priority in my day. I made it through the first 3 months of sweet Swayze Kate's life putting as much emphasis on every little move she made just as I had done with Paisley. Then, all of a sudden, life happened.....summer vacation was up, it was time to get back into the classroom, and here we are, almost 2 years later! I know....it's a shame. I always said that I wanted to pay my 2nd child as much attention as my first and do all the same things I'd done before. I have, but I haven't taken the time to document any of it! So, from now on I'm going to make a valiant effort to keep up so hopefully some of Swayze's memories will get thrown in too!!! ;)

3 Months and a Florida Vacation

Dear Paisley,

It's hard to believe that Swayze is already 3 months old! At first, the two of you looked SO similar, but now she's starting to get her own look, and kind of favors me a tad! :) I'm thinking that the dark hair just might stick around.... When we got Swayze's shots a few weeks ago, she'd already grown to 13 lbs. 6 oz. and 24 inches long! She's 50th percentile in length and 95th in weight....not a big shocker since you were ALWAYS 95th and above in all categories!


Your dad and I have not been on a real vacation (outside of camping) since our honeymoon, and since we'd been working so hard over the past year with school, work, you, and the new baby, my parents thought it'd be nice to take a vaction to sunny Florida!



Let's just say that you really enjoyed yourself! :) I was very scared that you would be afraid of the waves and that we would have to spend the whole week at the pool (not that that would be a bad thing! ha!). But you had the best time in the waves and gathering sea shells. We even found a whole, unbroken chonch shell, which is super hard to do! I guess your first beach trip was a success!

We even got our first picture of our cute little family of four....thanks to Nana!


I tried to get us all some good pictures on the beach, but between the rain showers, the heat, and crying babies, we didn't get much....


I think we took more pictures in the Mexican restaurant than we did on the beach!!!



We definitely had a good time, but packing for myself and 2 girls is a chore! It may be another month before our suitcases are empty! :)

Not much longer until we're all back to the daily grind of school, work, and chores, so I think we'll just enjoy the next couple of weeks. Then I'll worry about unpacking.....

2 Months Old and a Full Camera Card

Dear Paisley,

This weekend, I finally put all of my pictures from my camera onto my computer, plus I got some really good ones of you and Swayze!


I love dressing you two up alike, which is weird because I never used to like that sort of thing. Now, I think it's adoreable, and I do it every chance that I get! I can't believe that Swayze is 2 months old already! It's hard to believe, but at the same time it seems like she's been here forever.


Swayze is in a size 1 diaper and a 0 shoe (she has tiny feet!). She loves to smile when we talk to her. We go to the doctor for her 2 month shots this week, so I'll update her weight and length then. She is such a happy baby and is very laid back. She doesn't get upset about too much, just food and a dirty diaper! You are becoming very protective of Swayze and want to be around her all the time. She stayed in the nursery for a couple of days at your daycare, and you had to keep checking in on her to make sure she was okay....even though I think it was more for you than it was to check on your sister! :)


You are such a little priss pot these days! Now when I want you to smile for pictures, instead of just saying "cheese", you say "cheese and burgers!" Not real sure where you got that from, and it's adoreable. However, now in most of your pictures you can tell you're saying something instead of smiling! :)


And you like to pose a lot too! :)




We got to go to our friends, Ryan and Misty's house to swim and hang out. You didn't much like the swimming part, but you loved to stand on the slip n slide and let the water hit you. You REALLY liked squirting everyone with your little water gun!
