Just a Relaxing Weekend

Not much has gone on this week around our house. Paisley did learn a new animal sound though! She knows what her puppy says, what a fish "says", and now she knows what the duck says! She one smart cookie, even though I am a little partial!

Here she is in her Diva Googles at Nana's house. She's such a ham!

Then it was time for a good workout! Ha. She likes to roll the dumbbells back and forth across the floor because they make a funny noise. Never too busy to stop and cheese for the camera...

We've been trying all sorts of new foods lately. She really likes carrots and not so much of a fan of sweet peas. I can't say that I blame her for that one! We gave her a piece of a frozen potato to see if she liked it..... I guess the coldness of it felt weird to her, because everytime she got a piece of it, she would make the funniest faces. Then she would want another piece. Before we knew it, she had a mouthful of potatoes! She got tickled when we made her say "Ahhhh" and show us just what all she had in her mouth! :)
We've got less than 6 weeks until her birthday! I guess I need to get on the ball on this one. I've got all sorts of ideas, but I haven't done anything about any of them. Hopefully I can get some things accomplished this week!
Have a happy Sunday!

Well, we're there! Paisley took her first steps by herself last night!!! It was so exciting, and I was such a cheerleader for her last night that I completely forgot to get the camera out! I think she was surprised herself, but us cheering her on got her tickled. She kept wanting to try it because she was getting such a response from Jeff and me. At 10 months, 1 week, and 3 days old, we're on the move!!! I guess it's all downhill from here! :)

She loves taking pictures in her car seat. I love it too since it's the only place I can keep her still long enough to take one!

This is her before we left for daycare......

Halfway to daycare.....

By the time we got to daycare.....

Needless to say, she was a bit tuckered out from the night before!

I've been so busy the past couple of weeks getting ready for my Praxis II test that my pictures have been few and far between. I'm hoping to get the ones I have been able to take loaded up on here tonight before I stick my head back in a book!

Today is going to be a great day, especially since it's FRIDAY!!! :)

Are We There Yet?

I swear we are already experiencing the terrible two's before Paisley is even one!!! She has always been such a happy baby that only cried when she was hungry or exhausted. But now....she throws tantrums where she'll fling herself in the floor. If you hold your hands out to pick her up, she just shakes her head at you and cries. Nothing soothes her when she's like this! It's heartbreaking when I just want to make her feel better, and nothing I do helps. We think she's getting some more teeth in since the drooling has gotten a bit worse, and it comes in spells...it's not a constant cry.

She has been wanting to help us do things around the house though! Here she is helping Jeff give Lexie a bath. She wants to be right there with you doing what you're doing. It's so cute! She has such a personality now, and she tries to mimick so many things.

After Christmas, we tried to get her toys a little organized....Since we are in an apartment right now, we don't have as much room as we did in our house. However, Paisley only wants to play with the toys that are put away (in the bottom of the box!).

It starts out with one at a time....She'll play for a bit, and then it's on to the next one until they are all scattered about. Kind of like this......

It would be so much worse if we weren't going behind her putting things back in the box while she isn't playing with them! Poor Jeff was trying to watch the Ole Miss bowl game and the only toys Paisley was interested in were the ones that make noise! Ha.

On another note, It's getting time to start planning a birthday party! Paisley just turned 10 months old and is wearing a size 4 diaper, 12-18 month clothes, 4-5 shoe. Last we checked she weighed 26 lbs and was 31 inches long! I'm sure that's changed in the last few weeks too! It's so hard to remember Paisley being any different, any younger, any smaller than she is right now.

Here she is the day we left the hospital. That was such a fun day! At 7 lbs 14 oz and 21 in long, who knew we'd be where we are now!?!

I hate to say it, and it's the main reason I do this blog now, but I don't remember much about what it was like with her that little, and I don't remember much about what it was like being pregnant. I know it was fun, easy, and wonderful....but I don't remember what it felt like. That's why part of my New Year's Resolution is to take better notes in life since it goes by SO incredibly fast!!!
