Wrap Up and Things I've Missed

Dear Paisley,

With all that's been going on lately, I haven't exactly had the time to do a "sho-nuff" post so I wanted to put up a lot of things that I may have just skimmed over in the last few weeks.

First off, Halloween. You were the absolute cutest pig I've ever seen!

Then, I got crafty and started making you some outfits....

Yes, your domestic mama made that one! It was the first outfit I made for you!!! :) I can see a summer job manifesting for me, and I'm super excited!

Then, we hung out at Nana and Pappy's, went to see Santa, and cheered on our Rebels.

You love climbing on Pappy's lawn mower.

We like making messes....

Santa gave you a colored candy cane!
Go Rebels!!! Hotty Toddy! :)
We've also been working on this whole potty training thing. I would LOVE to get you out of diapers before Swayze gets here....we better get going on that one!

Oh, and don't forget Thanksgiving...

This year, I have so much to be thankful for. Especially you two! :)

That's the last month or so in a nutshell. I hope you get the gist of how busy we've been visiting and working and keeping up with you! Our Thanksgiving break is almost over, so I'm going to go chill for a bit.

Love ya babe!

Big Sister to a Little....

GIRL!!!!
Dear Paisley, you're going to have a little sister!  You're daddy and I are soooo excited!!!

We found out yesterday, and you got to go with us to watch your baby sister on "TV".  It was so cute how you just stared at the monitor, and the tech even gave you your own picture of your sister.  You carried it around everywhere last night until you couldn't even see what was in the picture.  It was so crinkled up, but you kept saying "my picture" or "my sister".

Her name is going to be

SWAYZE KATHERINE WALLS

It's so cute how you say her name as Fayze Kate.  I can already tell y'all are going to be good friends! (Once you learn to share a bit better!)

Daddy's going to have his hands full with a house full of girls!  I guess we'll have to get him a male dog in the mean time to help balance out some of us.  I can't wait to dress you and Swayze up alike for church and other outings.  Two girls, two weddings, and two girls to grow up together and be best friends.  I can't wait!!!  :)

(I hope the pictures I attached came through.....)

XOXO, Mama

Come on Thursday!

Dear Paisley,

Thursday CANNOT get here fast enough!  That's our next doctor's appointment, and we cannot wait to find out if you're going to have a brother or a sister.  I have pictured our house both ways....you as the only girl grandchild in the family for ever and you as a great big sister and friend to a little sister.  I think we have decided on a name for a girl, but the boy name is still up in the air.  Everything will be so much easier when we find out!  I don't know how anybody goes through this not wanting...ok HAVING to know what the gender is!!!  The suspense is killing me! :)

You are such a smart cookie!  I picked you up from daycare the other day and your teacher said that every one comments on how smart you are.  All the parents, teachers, everybody.  And you are the youngest one in your class!  It makes me so proud that you impress people.  I hope this next one is just as smart as you are!

It's tough though when things come up that your dad and I have to be at like basketball duty at school.  I can't imagine what it will be like when we have two of you to keep up with!  Even though we're only 5 months into this, it seems like it's going by a little faster this time.

I've got SO many pictures to share with you!  I can't wait until I figure out how to do it from work!!! :)

XOXO,
Mama

Jesus Loves Me!

Dear Paisley,
This week it seems like you have grown up so much!  You are singing all the words to "Jesus Loves Me", saying all of your ABC's, and counting to 10!!!  You are acting like such a big girl.  In the mornings when I leave for work, you say "Bye, bye, Mommy.  See you later!"  :)  It's sooooo cute and makes my heart melt.  You've gotten to where you climb on top of me at night when you get sleepy and root like a little puppy.
I can't upload pictures from my computer at work, so I'll have to put some up later when I get home.
Here's what's going on with me this week.  I go in a week to hopefully find out what we're having....I HOPE it cooperates this time!!!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 18 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby #2 is the length of a banana
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 10 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Both, maternity when I feel like being comfortable
Gender: Hope to find out next Thursday!!!
Movement: I've been feeling the baby a lot more lately, but not as much as Paisley moved when I was pregnant with her
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good!
What I miss: Diet Dr. Pepper and skinny jeans.....
Cravings: All food, especially sweets and all things NOT good for me
Symptons: Tired all the time!!!
Best Moment this week: Just feeling the baby more
I hope you're having a good day at daycare, Boo!  Love you!
XOXO, Mama

Halloween and Baby Bump

Dear Paisley,
It's Wednesday and we're one day closer to finding out if you're having a little brother or little sister. I go Friday to hopefully find out, as long as everyone cooperates!

image.jpeg

We just went from a car to a crossover to accommodate our growing family, and you love the upgrade!  Every time you get in it you say "Watch movie, Mommy!". You look so cute sitting back there with your little headphones on.

Here's what's been going on lately. Nana posted it earlier, but I wanted to make sure it made it on here.

"Hey, Miss "P"...just a little note to let you know what you've been doing lately.  You can now count to 10 without skipping any number and say the A B Cs with only mumbling U V W X Y Z.  It is really cute.  You are now saying "no" more, which is not cute, and your momma doesn't like it.  Speaking of your momma, she is 17 weeks with your new little baby.  She's supposed to find out if it will be a sister or a brother this week, so we're all very excited.  As far as Nana is concerned either one will be great.  I know you will be a wonderful big sister to either one.  You are such a sweet little thing and such a joy in mine and Pappy's life."

XOXO,
Mama

Technology's Gonna Save Me!

Dear Paisley,
I think I may have found a solution to my terrible blogging issue.....mobile blogging. This is new to me, which is weird since I'm usually up to par on technology. Anywho, if this works, I may be able to post something to you everyday! Yahoo! ;)

XOXO,
Mama

A Message from Daddy

Dear Paisley,
Your mama has done this blog thing for a while now, and I have been meaning to give it a try....

You came along at a time in my life when I needed you most. There was a part of me that was gone for a long time, and you came along and made my life complete. I ask your mama every day how we got so lucky to have a little girl as cute and sweet as you? You truly have me wrapped around your finger. I love to hear you say "Daddy" and I love it when you fall asleep in my arms. Remember, just because I don't change as many diapers as your mama, that does not mean I don't love you. Mama deserves credit for most of your diapers, ha! I can't wait to get home to you and mama every day, and I hate it when I have late games and you are asleep when I get home. I miss you every minute I am away from you. I can't wait to watch you grow up, even though I will miss you being little. You have brought our whole family closer together without even knowing it. You and Mama are my whole world, and I cannot tell you how much y'all mean to me. I can't wait to take you to games or movies or hunting or fishing or shopping (whatever you prefer). I know there will be times when you are mad at me or thnk I am unfair. Always know I am trying to do what's best for you. No matter what, you will always be "Daddy's little girl". I will always love you 'til the end of the earth!

XOXO, Daddy

It's Official!

Dear Paisley,
As your Nana already told you, it's official that you're going to be a big sister! Mommy went to the doctor this past Thursday and got to hear baby's hearbeat, which means we're at least 12 weeks along. I go back Friday for a sonogram so we can get a more accurate due date, but right now, we're looking at the end of March, early April. You're going to be such a great big sister!!!

We are so excited! It's going to be so much fun with another little one around. I really don't care if it's a boy or girl, but it would be nice for you to have a little sister to grow up with and share things with as you get older.

You look so grown in this picture!

We got you some clothes for when it starts to get cooler (football weather clothing, I call it!), and you modeled it for us the other day!

Cute stuff, huh?!?

I got this little info paragraph from another blogger, Kelly, who is also pregnant with her second baby. I thought it was a good idea, so I wanted to post it on here every month or so so we can all keep up with baby #2!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 12 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby #2 is the size of a lime
Total Weight Gain/Loss: not sure because I don't know how much I weighed before going to the doctor! Ha!
Maternity Clothes: Not yet....
Gender: Can't wait to find out!
Movement: Not yet
Sleep: Sleeping great and taking advantage of it!
What I miss: Nothing yet
Cravings: all things bad for me, especially chocolate!
Symptoms: growing stomach, slight nausea, tiredness....the usual
Best Moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat!

Here are a few pics from the weekend that I wanted to make sure I posted:

You are definitely my absolute favorite person in the whole world!!! :)

Dead Battery and a Day of Rest

Dear Paisley,
My camera is dead and I've been too lazy to charge it so I'll have to post pics after church tomorrow (more on the recent laziness later!). We've been visiting Nana and Pappy and you've been having the best time! Nana got you a Little Tykes slide for $10 at the consignment sale (love consignment!!!), and you've been sliding ALL day!!!

You've matured so much in the last couple of weeks. You want to do so much more on your own lately, and you pick up on things so fast. You repeat everything we say now, and your daddy even has you saying "Holler at your boy!" He got that off of Madagascar so I'm not sure which is funnier....the fact that he's got you saying it (which is so cute!) or that a 31 year old man is quoting a cartoon movie that YOU have never seen! :) Some kids never grow up!

Now, the reason for all the laziness lately.....Your daddy and I think you might have a brother or sister on the way! In fact, we're pretty sure, but we go to the doctor this Thursday for confirmation. I asked you yesterday if you wanted a brother or a sister. At first you just said, "Yes!" and then you said you wanted water.....not sure what to think about that one! :) You're going to be an awesome big sister. I can tell by the way you baby your dolls. I can't wait until he/she gets here and I can see your face light up. It's going to be so much fun!!!

You're so much fun to watch and be around, and I find myself missing you even when you're asleep. You're my little buddy that stays attached to my hip (which I love!!!), and I wouldn't have it any other way. I only hope that the next one is half as neat of a kid as you are!

I'll let you know how Thursday goes!

Softball Weekend

Dear Paisley,
This weekend was filled with softball! Daddy had a tournament ALL day Saturday from 9am-10pm!!! You and I relaxed for a bit in the morning, then it was off to root on the Generals.

You were such a good kid all day and never had a melt down....I was super proud of you. I think you're growing up! Haha.

Friday was your daddy's birthday, so we got him a cake and took him out to eat at Vince's. It was sooo good! You did pretty well up until the very end. Then we had to finish eating really fast so we could get out before you really acted up! I can't wait for that little phase to fade out! :)

You are growing up so fast and doing cuter things every day. Your new thing is moon-walking. You really just walk backwards saying "Look Mama, moon-walking!" But it's one of the cutest things I've ever seen!

I'm trying to kick a cold before you get it, but with as much as you're in my face and on top of me, I'm pretty sure it's inevitable that you'll be getting it!

It's off to work and school tomorrow, so I'm going to relax with you and Daddy for the rest of the day.

Whew! What a Summer!!!

Dear Paisley,
I am so sorry I have been MIA for so long. However, so much has happened in the past couple of months. I finished the first part of my schooling and got a job as a Pre-Algebra teacher to 7th, 8th, and 9th graders at Riverside High School. I also am assistant softball coach which is time consuming but a little fun at times.

You have grown and done so much in the past couple of months that there is no way for me to put it all in one post.

You are almost 18 months old now, and you have developed such a personality! I love coming home to hear you say, "Mommy's home!" :)

This new job is going to be great for me and you when softball season is over. I'll be able to pick you up from daycare with out running in at 5:15 (if I get to pick you up...), and we'll actually be able to get some errands done before 5:00! I can't wait! Not to mention all the holidays we get to spend together and all the time off!!! Ahhh, the perks of being a teacher!

Just in case you didn't get a look at the post your Nana put a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd post it here for you to look at....

"Well, Paisley, you are 17 months old today. Your mom has been so busy the month of July, she has not had time to write on your blog. She is still going to graduate school and you have moved to a really cute house in Leland. Your mom started her first teaching job at Riverside and has been a little over whelmed with that and being an assistant softball coach. Your mom is doing such a great job at school and spending time with you and your daddy, you should be very proud of her.

You still only have eight teeth, weigh about 30 lbs, blondish hair, 6-7 size shoe, 24 month or 2T but you are still wearing some 18 months. You are now doing the "Itzy Bitzy Spider" and "This Little Light of Mine." You are such a joy and I love you so much. Nana"

Now that I have access to the internet and a little more time on my hands, I'll be back on here updating your scrapbook like I should have been doing these last couple of months.

Nana's here visiting, so I'll know you'll have a good weekend!

I love you so much, and I'll get some more pictures up soon!

I'm Baaaaaack! :)

Whew!!!

Dear Paisley,
I feel like it has been years since I put anything on your blog. I know it's been a while, but school and work have been brutal here lately! On a good note, I think I got all A's from this first summer session, so I think it was all worth it!

This past month, we've had the All Star baseball game that your daddy coached at Smith Wills Stadium in Jackson, Memorial Day weekend, and several fun weekends camping and hanging out at Nana and Pappy's. I guess our way of relaxing is staying busy! :)

Your favorite thing to do right now is have us read to you and point out animals! You love saying the names and making the sound the animal makes.....it has to be one of the cutest things ever when you tell me that the cow says "Moo" like this......

or when you say that the bird goes "Teet teet" like this....

The kitty cat says "Nowwwww"....the frog says "Brrrrrr" (in the cutest little growling voice I've ever heard!).....the pig says "Ain't ain't"....and the monkey says "Oh oh ahahah"! Hahaha. You also know what the sheep, fish, alligator, snake, dog, and bee say! :) You are one super smart cookie!

There's no way to write about everything we've done this past month and a half, but I wanted to make sure I put some pictures on here, especially since this IS your scrapbook! So here goes.....
