Bye Bye 2010, Hello 2011!

Dear Paisley,

As I look back on 2010, I can't help but smile and be thankful about all we did, had, and went through. With new jobs, new milestones, and new living quarters, 2010 brought about a lot of change not only with you but with our family as well. One of the biggest things is that we found out you are going to be a big sister to a beautiful baby girl in April 2011.

In 2010, you learned your ABCs, to count to 12, to sing Jesus Loves Me, Swing Low Sweet Chariot, and many other songs you sing on a daily basis! (I'll attach the audio as soon as I learn how!)
You also learned how to pedal your tricycle - you kind of didn't have a choice hanging out with Nathan and Caleb....It was either keep up or move out of the way!!!

We had your daddy's family Christmas at Uncle Mike's beautiful house in Oxford this year. Of all the grandkids, you're the only girl! You were playing "football" with the boys and ran and played just as hard as they did!

I also enjoyed my first 1/2 year as a teacher, although having a long break with you and Daddy sure does make it a lot harder to go back to work! I feel like I did when I went back to work after maternity leave with you! However, I sure did enjoy 15 straight days at my parents' house with you and the rest of our family over the holidays! I think Nana and Pappy did too! :)

It's going to be a tough year to top, but I think with Swayze being born, my first summer vacation to spend with y'all, and all of the new adventures to see and do as a family of FOUR, I'll be saying the same thing next year! With all the new things you say and do, you definitely keep me on my toes wondering what you're going to do next! I need to go to sleep to get ready for work, but knowing me, I'll just lay here looking at the ceiling or something. If I go to sleep, it will be tomorrow, and I'll have to spend the day away from you and Daddy....I hate this part of nice vacations!
Here are a few pictures from the holidays that show just how much fun we enjoyed ourselves!

Merry Everything and Happy 2011!!!

Wrap Up and Things I've Missed

Dear Paisley,

With all that's been going on lately, I haven't exactly had the time to do a "sho-nuff" post so I wanted to put up a lot of things that I may have just skimmed over in the last few weeks.

First off, Halloween. You were the absolute cutest pig I've ever seen!

Then, I got crafty and started making you some outfits....

Yes, your domestic mama made that one! It was the first outfit I made for you!!! :) I can see a summer job manifesting for me, and I'm super excited!

Then, we hung out at Nana and Pappy's, went to see Santa, and cheered on our Rebels.

You love climbing on Pappy's lawn mower.

We like making messes....

Santa gave you a colored candy cane!
Go Rebels!!! Hotty Toddy! :)
We've also been working on this whole potty training thing. I would LOVE to get you out of diapers before Swayze gets here....we better get going on that one!

Oh, and don't forget Thanksgiving...

This year, I have so much to be thankful for. Especially you two! :)

That's the last month or so in a nutshell. I hope you get the gist of how busy we've been visiting and working and keeping up with you! Our Thanksgiving break is almost over, so I'm going to go chill for a bit.

Love ya babe!

Big Sister to a Little....

GIRL!!!!
Dear Paisley, you're going to have a little sister!  You're daddy and I are soooo excited!!!

We found out yesterday, and you got to go with us to watch your baby sister on "TV".  It was so cute how you just stared at the monitor, and the tech even gave you your own picture of your sister.  You carried it around everywhere last night until you couldn't even see what was in the picture.  It was so crinkled up, but you kept saying "my picture" or "my sister".

Her name is going to be

SWAYZE KATHERINE WALLS

It's so cute how you say her name as Fayze Kate.  I can already tell y'all are going to be good friends! (Once you learn to share a bit better!)

Daddy's going to have his hands full with a house full of girls!  I guess we'll have to get him a male dog in the mean time to help balance out some of us.  I can't wait to dress you and Swayze up alike for church and other outings.  Two girls, two weddings, and two girls to grow up together and be best friends.  I can't wait!!!  :)

(I hope the pictures I attached came through.....)

XOXO, Mama

Come on Thursday!

Dear Paisley,

Thursday CANNOT get here fast enough!  That's our next doctor's appointment, and we cannot wait to find out if you're going to have a brother or a sister.  I have pictured our house both ways....you as the only girl grandchild in the family for ever and you as a great big sister and friend to a little sister.  I think we have decided on a name for a girl, but the boy name is still up in the air.  Everything will be so much easier when we find out!  I don't know how anybody goes through this not wanting...ok HAVING to know what the gender is!!!  The suspense is killing me! :)

You are such a smart cookie!  I picked you up from daycare the other day and your teacher said that every one comments on how smart you are.  All the parents, teachers, everybody.  And you are the youngest one in your class!  It makes me so proud that you impress people.  I hope this next one is just as smart as you are!

It's tough though when things come up that your dad and I have to be at like basketball duty at school.  I can't imagine what it will be like when we have two of you to keep up with!  Even though we're only 5 months into this, it seems like it's going by a little faster this time.

I've got SO many pictures to share with you!  I can't wait until I figure out how to do it from work!!! :)

XOXO,
Mama

Jesus Loves Me!

Dear Paisley,
This week it seems like you have grown up so much!  You are singing all the words to "Jesus Loves Me", saying all of your ABC's, and counting to 10!!!  You are acting like such a big girl.  In the mornings when I leave for work, you say "Bye, bye, Mommy.  See you later!"  :)  It's sooooo cute and makes my heart melt.  You've gotten to where you climb on top of me at night when you get sleepy and root like a little puppy.
I can't upload pictures from my computer at work, so I'll have to put some up later when I get home.
Here's what's going on with me this week.  I go in a week to hopefully find out what we're having....I HOPE it cooperates this time!!!

Halloween and Baby Bump

Dear Paisley,
It's Wednesday and we're one day closer to finding out if you're having a little brother or little sister. I go Friday to hopefully find out, as long as everyone cooperates!

image.jpeg

We just went from a car to a crossover to accommodate our growing family, and you love the upgrade!  Every time you get in it you say "Watch movie, Mommy!". You look so cute sitting back there with your little headphones on.

Here's what's been going on lately. Nana posted it earlier, but I wanted to make sure it made it on here.

"Hey, Miss "P"...just a little note to let you know what you've been doing lately.  You can now count to 10 without skipping any number and say the A B Cs with only mumbling U V W X Y Z.  It is really cute.  You are now saying "no" more, which is not cute, and your momma doesn't like it.  Speaking of your momma, she is 17 weeks with your new little baby.  She's supposed to find out if it will be a sister or a brother this week, so we're all very excited.  As far as Nana is concerned either one will be great.  I know you will be a wonderful big sister to either one.  You are such a sweet little thing and such a joy in mine and Pappy's life."

XOXO,
Mama

Technology's Gonna Save Me!

Dear Paisley,
I think I may have found a solution to my terrible blogging issue.....mobile blogging. This is new to me, which is weird since I'm usually up to par on technology. Anywho, if this works, I may be able to post something to you everyday! Yahoo! ;)

XOXO,
Mama
